The current Set 517 product is comprehensive audio productions via Threshold Studios. Calls from Location Scouts and Multimedia Producers looking for a functioning record- ing studio set has prompted us to realize that our modifiable open-plan space and mobile equipment configuration fulfills a need. It allows for camera views not usually possible in the more traditional recording studio set-up. Our team includes Professional Audio Engineers, Technicians and a well qualified Acous- tics Designer. We can create authentic set pieces (from your visual specifications) that will be truly functioning acoustical treatments for better sounding original takes or on site looping/walla if needed.

Problem: Set Overcrowding with Multiple Crews, Equipment, and Talent Solution: We can create a well-organized environment of zones for many different activi- ties away from the main set. Set 517 can serve as crew base camp. It is a convenient assem- bly area for other nearby production, it can be a very comfortable green room facility, a private space for talent to prepare, rest, and relax between takes. We can create a tempo- rary office setup for producers, directors, or coordinators to help them manage production more efficiently. Set 517 can configure for pre-production meetings, script read-throughs, make-up, equipment prep, etc… whatever is needed to coordinate and help streamline the work.

Problem: Ambient Noise and Interruptions Solution: Set 517, though not acoustically isolated is buffered from street noise and offers a quiet, comfortable and peaceful space to work and/or relax in.

Problem: Power and Connectivity Issues. Solution: There is UPS isolated tech power as well as sufficient outlets and access to power sources for lighting, cameras, computers and other equipment. There is high-speed inter- net with reliable Wi-Fi for streaming, communication, and uploading footage.

Problem: Limited Space for Equipment and Crew Solution: Our 1850 square foot space is versatile. It can accommodate bigger crews and more equipment. Adjacent to our large main space, there is a limited, but secure, addition- al storage area available.

Problem: Set Construction and Customization Solution: Our space is open-plan with no permanently mounted fixtures or equipment. There are many options to specifically set certain scenes. If used as a set in a traditional recording studio, we have all the classic studio equipment at hand. We can assemble a set to allow unique camera angles as well as support creative blocking for compelling views of talent inter-action enhanced by authentic looking and functional set pieces.

Problem: Crew Comfort and Amenities Solution: Set 517 provides quiet, peaceful and comfortable lounge areas There is a kitchen- ette and clean restroom facilities for the crew to rest and recharge. There will be sufficient heating and air conditioning to maintain comfort for all. Due to the exceptional depth of the space, there is plenty of room to work in as well as sufficient lounge area daylit from the courtyard. There is comfortable seating near the kitchenette, restroom and main entry. That area also allows for food service. We will coordinate with catering services and/or recommend all nearby food options as needed.

Problem: Parking and Accessibility Solution: There is regular on-street (both sides) parking on our block. For a more compre- hensive solution, we can work with the parking facility directly across the street to arrange parking solutions for cast, crew, and equipment trucks. There is easy driveway access off the street right at the front gate for loading and unloading equipment and set materials.

Problem: Security Concerns Solution: Street access is via a combination-locked grille and buffered by a tenants-only courtyard. Our space is accessed by a locked glazed door with a roll-down shutter. Also via a separate entry alcove access and combination-locked metal door.

Whether you otherwise might be aiming to create and capture a scene, record a group dis- cussion or podcast, produce original music tracks, a vocal ensemble or single voice tracks, we are ready to help. Flexible Scheduling: We offer flexible hours to accommodate the unpredictable nature of Motion Picture and Television production schedules, including night shoots or early morning setups. On Call Staff: There will be on-call staff to handle any repairs, or cleaning needs. Tech Support: Tech support will be on site to support all house technical elements. Site Management: The business owner will be on-site to assist the production team with any immediate needs, questions, or issues that arise during your use of the space.
